Day 1: Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kampala City

You will be met at the airport by our company representative and safari guide for transfer to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala. The 6 days Lake Mburo, QENP & gorilla trekking safari briefings will be done right before dinner at the hotel where you will be spending the night. The next early morning we begin our 6 days lake Mburo adventure safari. If time allows you will have an evening Kampala city tour to the Kabaka’s Palace, Kasubi tombs, lastly Uganda national museum which is the biggest in the region. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park– Evening boat cruise

You set off after breakfast for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western part of the country, have a stopover at the Mpigi Drum Makers village to see how the Royal drums are made using traditional methods that have been handed down over generations. Another stopover will be at the Equator for photos at this international landmark where you will also watch the mesmerizing water experiments conducted at the spot where the two hemispheres divide. You will continue the drive through the rolling hills and plains dotted with community homesteads and herds of the long horned Ankole cattle to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in time for an Evening boat ride on the Kazinga channel. This trip passes through highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography.

Bird watching and game viewing is wonderful. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species recorded making it a magnet for bird watchers. Later go for an evening game drive in search for Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, topis and bush bucks and many more. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth - Morning Game Drive – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up at 0600 for breakfast, depart for the early morning game-drive in search of wildlife, you are likely to see herds of buffalo, Lion, Elephant, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and if lucky Leopard. Depart Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha sector of the park which is famous for harboring the tree climbing lions. You may also get to see other animals that you might have missed during the previous drives. Have lunch and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for more.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Morning Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After your hearty breakfast, move to the ranger station with your packed lunch and tracking gears. The ranger guide will brief you about how to behave in the presence of the gentle eyed mountain gorillas. Move into the park to begin the memorable search in the gorilla sanctuary.

Have fun in the beautiful prehistoric forest and feel its freshness. This forest is always wet, moist and it may rain at any time of the day therefore you need to wear warm water proof clothes. Remember to wear long trousers because there are beetles that may sting you.

The time to meet the gorillas is not known because of movements of the gorillas as they are looking for their food. Also during your search, you may have the chance of seeing other primates that live in the forest like, black-and-white colobus monkey, red tail monkey and chimpanzee.

The moment you meet the brown eyed, calm gorillas you may forget the fatigue you have because it is a memorable and exciting encounter. Stay with them for an hour watching and following them.

Take their photo graphs however you need a sound proof camera. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for evening relaxing with canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Drive to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening game drive

After that interesting gorilla tacking expedition and the whole evening relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi, rise up early in the morning and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. View the undulating Kisoro hills on the way. Travel Time: about: 6 hours

Have en-route stop at Igongo culture center for lunch and visit the museum which is the only one in the region with all firsthand information about the Ankole people and the neighboring kingdoms after museum tour head to the park for a an evening game drive. This park is uniquely known for being the habitat to the burchell Zebras, statungas, impalas gigantic eland antelopes the list is endless. You should remember that this park is also the only one of its king in Uganda that has a big lake midst it.

You can also carry out a walking safari in this park because it is proved to have no predators/ man eaters. The animals cannot be exhausted because of time.

Day 6: Lake Mburo- Morning Horseback riding – Drive to Kampala

Following this interesting tour, rise up early morning, enjoy your breakfast and carry on morning horseback riding in the wilderness retire for another set of breakfast and transfer to Entebbe International Airport to meet your return flight.
