Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive Khajuraho:

Welcome on arrival at Khajuraho airport. Met with our representative and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival check into your booked hotels. After freshening up, proceed for city tour visiting for half day and visit Khajuraho Temples, the World Heritage Site. Khajuraho is famous for its temples, which were built between 950 and 1050 AD in a really inspired burst of originality. The temples are placed in one of each catagories: the Western group of royal temples, the eastern group or southern group. The western group of temples are most beautiful and famous. Evening enjoy sound & light show at the temple complex. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 02:Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (230 Kms, 4.5 hrs Drive)
After breakfast drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, Arrive at Bandhavgarh and check into the resort. In the afternoon, proceed for an exciting Jungle Safari for game viewing into the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Overnight will be in the resort at Bandhavgarh.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 03:Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve:
Enjoy a full day game viewing (Two safaris) inside the lush forests of the tiger reserve. Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is one of the finest and famous tiger reserves of India. Famous for significant population of tigers, the tiger reserve offers better opportunities for tiger viewing. Overnight stay will be at the resort.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 04:Bandhavgarh – Khajuharo, Departure. (230 Kms, 4.5 hrs Drive)
After breakfast at the hotel, you are transferred to Khajuraho airport for further journey.

Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh

Overview

Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the popular national parks in India located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh was declared a national park in 1968, with an area of 105km. The buffer is spread over the forest divisions of Umaria and kanti and totals 437km. The park derives its name from the most prominent hillock of the area, which is said to be given by Hindu Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana to keep a watch on Lanka. Hence the name Bandhavgarh.

This park has a large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of leopards, and various species of deer. Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa captured the first white tiger in this region in 1951. This white tiger, Mohan, is now stuffed and on dispaly in the palace of the Maharajas of Rewa.
